I’m officially a debut science fiction author!
I’m thrilled to let you all know that today, September 10, 2020, I’m officially a self-published science fiction author.
My novel Beyond is already live on amazon as well as other retailers such as B&N, Kobo and !ndigo. For those of you who don’t know, Beyond (Black Tears 1) is about a story that takes place in the near future, in a world at war with an invasive alien species, and follows 15-year-old Stella, just a normal girl with psychological problems who is kidnapped by the CIA and kept in an abandoned psychiatric hospital. She discovers that most of what she thought she knew about herself was based off lies, and finds herself caught up in a war she had thought she had nothing to do with but now turns out she has the key to solving. All she wants is to go back to what her life used to be, but that is no longer an option, and now she must face the choice of which side to pick.
Beyond is the first volume of my series Black Tears, thus is a presentation to the characters and the story as a whole. I must warn you that it contains violence, adult language and situations and mentions to suicide which some may find triggering.
Concerning the genre, I find it too hard to pick just one. It’s somewhere between science fiction and romance, with elements of thriller and a psychopathic touch. I paid great attention to the psychological aspect of Stella’s personality, which also adds deepness to the story.
